Dissertation fellowships education
Candidates whose work, during their time at Saint Louis University, demonstrates outstanding academic achievement and whose dissertation will significantly extend the body of knowledge within their discipline. The application deadline for the 2016-2017 competition is Monday. Dissertation Fellowships are competitively awarded to Saint Louis University Ph. There is no specific template for the budget. Eligibility for Award
Applicants for the awards must have signed candidacy papers filed with the Doctoral Candidacy Advisor before the application deadline. This letter must be sent electronically or in hard copy by the deadline. These ,500 fellowships support individuals whose dissertations show potential for bringing fresh and constructive perspectives to the history, theory, analysis, or practice of formal or informal education anywhere in the world. Awards will be made for study in research-based Ph. Also eligible are interdisciplinary ethnic studies programs, such as African American studies and Native American studies, and other interdisciplinary programs, such as area studies, peace studies, and social justice. Programs that include the following major disciplines and related interdisciplinary fields: American studies, anthropology, archaeology, art and theater history, astronomy, chemistry, communications, computer science, cultural studies, earth sciences, economics, education, engineering, ethnic studies, ethnomusicology, geography, history, international relations, language, life sciences, linguistics, literature, mathematics, performance study, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, religious studies, sociology, urban planning, and women’s studies. As a result, the Board of Directors decided to reduce the number of scholarships the Foundation offers by ending two graduate scholarship programs – the Graduate Arts Award and the Dissertation Fellowship. Proposals must be self-contained within the specified page limitations. This conference is specifically for AERA grantees, and travel expenses will be paid by AERA.
Due to the large volume of applications received, the AERA Grants Program is unable to provide individual feedback on unfunded proposals. Programs that include the following major disciplines and related interdisciplinary fields: American studies, anthropology, archaeology, art and theater history, astronomy, chemistry, communications, computer science, cultural studies, earth sciences, economics, education, engineering, ethnic studies, ethnomusicology, geography, history, international relations, language, life sciences, linguistics, literature, mathematics, performance study, philosophy, physics, political science, psychology, religious studies, sociology, urban planning, and women’s studies. Awards will be made for study in research-based Ph. Citizens enrolled in a doctoral program at a U. Applicants should choose research topics that can be supported by the samples and variables contained in the proposed NCES or NSF data set(s). The conference will provide unique professional development experiences for grantees, including highly qualified speakers on topics of education policy and career development, presentations of dissertation research by former grantees, and interaction with the Governing Board and federal agency staff.
Preference will be given to those applicants who have completed their prospectus the prior Spring, Summer or Fall. Interdisciplinary areas of study that have major content in ineligible fields listed above will not be included in the competition. Other topics of interest include policies and practices related to student achievement in STEM, contextual factors in education, educational participation and persistence (kindergarten through graduate school), early childhood education, and postsecondary education.
